This YPL trip has been snitch
Jul. 24th, 2010 11:23 amWell this week has just been snitch from beginning to end. I'm trying to remember everything we did:
1. We visited the Prophet and the WWN and we saw studios and got copies of the Prophet that had JUST been printed and someone talked to us all about the dangers of misinformation and stuff like that.
2. We had a boat ride on the Thames and met Owain Pritchard and Kirley Duke and that was BRILLIANT and we had a tour from the ghost at the Tower of London.
3. We visited the Ministry and had a tour of MLE and got to see aurors DUELLING for practise.
4. We went to a panto, which made me laugh so hard it hurt.
5. We visited a museum of curiosities which was like a bunch of old muggle things, some of which you could touch and try out. Like they had a tellefone, and you could mess about with the dial, and they even had part of a car so you could sit in it and hold the steering wheel and work the pedals though obviously it wasn't going to go anywhere and then, this was less of a laugh, they had a big display of guns muggles used to use and a whole section about witch-burnings and how the Statute of Secrecy was imposed to try to keep wizards safe from muggles. There was a portrait (not the talking sort) of Nearly Headless Nick and the story of what happened to him, it's a lot more serious than he usually lets on, he got murdered by muggles because they caught him without his wand.
6. And then we had lunch in a park and thought we saw Snape! But we must not have done because MLE didn't catch him. It was exciting, though.
7. There was a brilliant music party and then today we went to the zoo.
I've got to know Blaise Zabini, Linus Moon, and Zacharias Smith a lot better and that's been brilliant, too, and Moon said perhaps I could come for a visit later in the summer? And I said I'm sure Mr Rosier would let me have them visit.
And now we're having lunch in a bit and then we'll all go home and it will be back to tutoring and thatrot sort of thing. This has been BRILLIANT though, even better than the camping trip. I can't wait until next summer!
